Baby news
Justin Timberlake confirmed months-long speculation that he and his wife, Jessica Biel, have welcomed a second child — a boy. Rumors about the birth first emerged in late July 2020, but the couple kept the news under wraps even as pals like Jimmy Fallon and Lance Bass confirmed the reports. On Ellen DeGeneres's Jan. 18 talk show, Justin revealed that he and Jessica — who never announced her pregnancy — named their son Phineas. "He's awesome and so cute. Nobody's sleeping," Justin joked. "But we're thrilled. We're thrilled and couldn't be happier. Very grateful." They're also parents to son Silas, 5.

And her name is…
In other baby-name-reveal news this week… Gigi Hadid finally publicly revealed what she and Zayn Malik named their baby girl, who was born in September 2020: Her name is Khai. The model shared the info on Jan. 21 when she updated her Instagram bio, writing "Khai's mom" under her name. TMZ reported that, according to a source close to the couple, Khai's name is a tribute to Gigi's paternal grandmother, Khairiah. The webloid further wrote that 'the name Khai also means 'crowned' in Arabic whereas Zayn's last name 'Malik' means 'king' … so baby Khai's name translates to 'crowned king.'"

Pardon me…
Lil Wayne is in the clear. In Donald Trump's final hours in the Oval Office, he issued a presidential pardon to the five-time Grammy winner. In November 2020, Wayne was charged with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. The charge stems from an incident in December 2019 at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport in which federal agents searched a private plane and found a gold-plated handgun in Wayne's luggage. He faced up to 10 years in prison if he was convicted. Wayne, a supporter of Trump, tweeted, "I want to thank President Trump for recognizing that I have so much more to give to my family, my art, and my community." Trump also pardoned rapper Kodak Black. "Tiger King" star Joe Exotic wasn't so lucky.
Splitsville
After nearly a year together, Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have gone their separate ways. "Ben is no longer dating Ana," a source told People magazine on Jan. 18. "She broke it off. Their relationship was complicated. Ana doesn't want to be Los Angeles based and Ben obviously has to since his kids live in Los Angeles." The split was amicable. "They are in different points in their lives; there is deep love and respect there. Ben continues to want to work on himself. He has three jobs lined up and he's a solid father at home. They are both happy with where they are in their lives." Ben and Ana, reports say, still speak regularly.

Hollywood celebrates Biden
It's a new day in America. On Jan. 20, Joe Biden took over as president of the United States. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, his inauguration was far different that others in the past. The fanfare wasn't quite there, nor was the outgoing president. Still, it didn't lack star power, as Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Garth Brooks all performed in front of the Capitol. Later in the evening, a virtual parade hosted by Tom Hanks took place. Performers included Demi Lovato, Justin Timberlake, Tim McGraw and many more. Katy Perry closed out inauguration day as a spectacular firework show took place over Washington, D.C. Naturally, she sang her hit "Firework." Much of Hollywood, who's been friendly with Biden over the years, was ecstatic during the inauguration. Andy Cohen tweeted that he was "in tears." Kerry Washington wrote on Twitter, "TODAY I want to celebrate."
Over and done
Another "The Bachelorette" breakup is on the books. On Jan. 19, Dale Moss confirmed reports that he and Clare Crawley have split. "We appreciate the love and support we've received from so many people, but this is the healthiest decision for both of us at this time," he said on Instagram. The couple had one of the franchise's fastest on-screen romances of all time, getting engaged less than two weeks after meeting on the show last summer, leading Clare to exit the show so another lead could take over. It seems the lovestruck duo wasn't on the same page. In a message posted to Instagram on Jan. 21, Clare said she was "made aware of a 'mutual' statement at the same time you all were," but has "needed some time to really digest this." She added, "Speaking for myself, my intentions with this relationship have always been very clear, so the truth is I am crushed." A source told Page Six they had disagreements about children and where to live.
Chemo treatment
Dustin Diamond has completed his first round of chemotherapy following his cancer diagnosis. The former "Saved By The Bell" star is still in the hospital as he deals with stage 4 small cell carcinoma, more commonly known as advanced lung cancer. According to a Jan. 21 report from TMZ, it started somewhere else in his body and metastasized in his lungs. A second round of chemotherapy will be scheduled soon. TMZ also reported that Dustin, who famously played Screech, will begin physical therapy and has a "positive outlook." Dustin, who was diagnosed earlier this month, is reading fan mail, learning new songs on his bass guitar, playing video games and making videos for fans on social media.
Restraining order
Christina Ricci has alleged that estranged husband James Heerdegen is abusive. On Jan. 20, a judge granted the actress's request for a restraining order, meaning he has to keep his distance from her. He also will not have visitation rights with their 6-year-old son, Freddie, and must stay away from the family's dog. In her request, Christina said James physically and emotionally abused her. "Many of these acts of abuse" occurred in front of their son, she further claimed. The "The Addams Family" star, who filed for divorce last summer, detailed several alleged incidents in which she feared for her life, even claiming she once hid the knives in their vacation home. James's lawyer denied the abuse allegations and told TMZ the former dolly grip plans to file for his own restraining order against Christina "detailing her abusive conduct fueled by alcohol and substance abuse."
Fine at 99
On Jan. 17, 2020, Betty White, a true American icon, celebrated her 99th birthday. Hollywood took notice, as they publicly gushed over the "Golden Girls" star on social media. Ellen DeGeneres said of Betty, "You're a miracle in every way." Regina King said, "Today is the day a giant was born. Happy Worthday @BettyMWhite." Ryan Reynolds called Betty "the funniest person I know." Betty's take on her near-century birthday? "Since I am turning 99, I can stay up as late as I want without asking permission," she joked.
