TRENTON, NJ -- Trenton City Hall posed as the United States Capitol recently as TV star Patrick Dempsey and the crew of the upcoming CBS program "Ways and Means" In looking for a location to shoot the political drama, the show re-imagined the Town Hall in the New Jersey Capitol as the Capitol in Washington D.C.
Trenton Mayor Reed was excited to host the television crew.
"It was fun hosting Patrick Dempsey and the CBS pilot, Ways and Means, filmed in City Hall. They were looking for a historic government building that they could transform into the U.S. Capitol," added Gusciora in a social media post. "We look forward to watching the pilot and hope CBS comes back for more episodes to come!"
The show, Ways & Means, reportedly centers on a powerful congressional leader played by Dempsey who has lost faith in politics but partners with an idealistic young congresswoman from across the political aisle. Together, "they’ll attempt to save American politics — if they don’t get caught" in the efforts to fix a "hopelessly gridlocked system he (Dempsey's character) helped create."
No word yet on when the show could begin to air.
