Pop legend Madonna was hospitalized on June 24 this year for a serious bacterial infection and was in intensive care. She had to cancel her seven-month world tour. After a week in the hospital, the legendary singer is now out of the ICU and responding well to treatment.
The 64-year-old singer’s celebrity friends and fans have been worried and sending ‘get well soon’ wishes to the pop star. Among those are actors Evan Rachel Wood, Isla Fisher, Rita Wilson, singer The Weeknd aka Abel Tesfaye, and many more.
Madonna received hundreds of messages in comments under a post by her manager Guy Oseary about her condition.
Isla Fisher said, "Sending her so much love". Rita Wilson wrote, "Sending Madonna my prayers for a speedy recovery". While Ru Paul's Drag Race judge Michelle Visage wrote, "Take good care of our queen".
The Weeknd reposted Oseary’s statement on his own Instagram story, with the caption "sending prayers" and a black and white photo of Madonna.
Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ava DuVernay also wished Madonna, and so did model-actor Amber Valetta. Other actors sending love to the singer included Rosie Perez and Zooey Deschanel, among others.
Madonna’s children Lourdes, David, and Rocco are in New York with her, and Rocco was also spotted.

In January, Madonna announced her tour, saying, "I am excited to explore as many songs as possible in hopes to give my fans the show they have been waiting for."
The singer was to play her greatest hits on the world tour, including Into The Groove (1985), Like A Prayer (1989), and Vogue (1990), among others.
On February 25, 2023, Madonna’s eldest brother Anthony Ciccone died of respiratory failure and throat cancer.
