It's time to head to the dance floor. Literally.
Dancing with the Stars season 32 is coming very soon. This season, there is already a bit of intel on which celebs will be lacing up their dancing shoes (past seasons have included stars like Kim Kardashian, Jerry Springer, and Priscilla Presley). Plus, it looks like the show will even take center stage in ABC's lineup.
First, a recap. Last season of DWTS was won by TikTok star Charli D'Amelio and her partner Mark Ballas. It also did not air on ABC, and only ran episodes on Disney+.
This season, the show is returning to the live network—but there's still no exact word on when it will premiere.
If you just can't wait to dive into this season, me neither. Below, everything to know about the upcoming Dancing With The Stars season—from cast, to release date, to spoilers.
Will there be a season 32 of DWTS?
Yes! The newest season of DWTS is already in the works, and it's slated to air on ABC this fall. Last season premiered on Disney+ on September 19, so hopefully Season 32 will air around the same time.
However, it's worth noting that ABC's fall schedule is looking a little packed so far. In August, the network shared their tentative fall schedule, and DWTS wasn't included on the list.
Of course, they may be holding out for a more official announcement—so stay tuned.
Who is going to be on Dancing With The Stars 2023?
ABC won't announce the full cast until September 13, 2023 on Good Morning America. However, there is already some intel on notable celebs that will make an appearance.
In August, former Bachelorette star Charity Lawson posted on Instagram that she will be included in this season's cast.
Charity isn't the only reality television star that will be showing off her moves. Vanderpump Rules star Ariana Madix will also be joining the cast. DWTS champion Derek Hough shared a joint Instagram post with the former SUR server to announce her role on the show.
"I think you'd be fantastic on the show," Derek says to Ariana in the announcement. "What are you doing this fall?
When does DWTS season 32 premiere?
It's expected to air sometime this fall. The show will likely air on Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET, according to US Weekly. However, the official premiere date won't be announced until Wednesday, September 13 on Good Morning America.
How do I watch season 32 of DWTS?
Luckily, it'll be a lot easier to stream the latest DWTS episodes this year. Unlike last season, season 32 will air live on ABC. Plus, you can still stream the show live on Disney+. You can also catch it next-day on Hulu, according to ABC.
Which pro dancers will return to DWTS?
While the celebs are exciting additions to the show, the competition would be nothing without the professional dancers. Unfortunately, Mark Ballas, half of last year's winning duo, will not return this season.
"I'm not saying this is the end, [but] this is the last time I will be dancing with a [celebrity] partner," Mark said at the end of last season, per PEOPLE.
However, there are some pros who are making a comeback. Jenna Johnson, who sat out last season because she was pregnant with her son, will be returning for season 32. Her husband, Val Chmerkovskiy, will also be returning after competing with Gabby Windey in season 31.
Who is judging this season of DWTS?
Based on his Instagram activity, it looks like Derek Hough will return as a judge this season. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will also return as judges, per Variety. Seasoned head judge Len Goodman announced his retirement from the show prior to his death in April 2023, per the New York Times.
Who is hosting this season?
Julianne Hough, Footloose star and Derek Hough's sister, will make her return to DWTS as a host according to Variety.
She will co-host with Alfonso Ribeiro, known for his role as Carlton in Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Alfonso is also now a DWTS vet, as he won the competition in its 19th season and co-hosted last season with Tyra Banks.
Tyra announced her retirement from the show in March 2023, after three seasons. "I think my heart and soul are in my business and in producing TV, and you can’t do that while hosting a show,” she told TMZ.
There are still plenty of deets to come, so watch the space for updates. In the meantime, you can practice your salsa and catch up on the latest DWTS seasons on Disney+
