Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the stars who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in mid-August 2022, starting with this former "Dancing With the Stars" pro… On Aug. 21, Deux Moi reported that, according to an anonymous source, Julianne Hough and long-term pal Ben Barnes could be seen holding hands during a recent performance of "Into the Woods" on Broadway. The following day, Life & Style reported that, after years of rumors about the nature of their relationship, the duo finally took their relationship to the next level earlier this year. "Their friendship has gravitated into a full-blown romance. … They've officially been an item for two months and he has been flying to and from L.A. to be with her in New York. When they're not together, they FaceTime every day. They're so adorable together. Everything about the relationship is so easy and Julianne can be her true self with him. She's never been happier," said a source. The "Dancing With the Stars" alum and the English actor — who starred as Prince Caspian in two "The Chronicles of Narnia" movies and recently starred on "Westworld," "The Punisher" and "Shadow and Bone" — first sparked romance rumors in early 2020 amid a rough patch in her marriage with Brooks Laich. As for the other man to whom Julianne was linked in the wake of her split from the former hockey star… Life & Style reported that, according to a source, she and male model Charlie Wilson called it quits "a few months ago" because although "they were physically attracted to each other," they "didn't gel emotionally." The insider also described the romance as a "total rebound fling" for Julianne following her breakup from Brooks.

During an interview with Variety that debuted online on Aug. 24, Olivia Wilde shed some light on the not-so-nice circumstances that led to her 2020 split from Jason Sudeikis. While reflecting on her former fiancé's apparent decision to serve her with legal documents pertaining to the custody of their two children as she was presenting her upcoming film "Don't Worry Darling" in front of thousands of entertainment professionals at CinemaCon in April, the actress-filmmaker said, "It was my workplace, In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn't have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary. [There were] hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room. … This was something that required forethought. … I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing. To try to sabotage that was really vicious. But I had a job to do; I'm not easily distracted. But, you know, sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me. I mean, there's a reason I left that relationship." Yeesh! (The "Saturday Night Live" alum has insisted he had no idea when or where his ex would be served.) As for her relationship with Harry Styles, Olivia told Variety she was "not going to say anything about it." But the actress-filmmaker then added, "We both go out of our way to protect our relationship; I think it's out of experience, but also just out of deep love." Hear that? She said deep love!

On Aug. 24, multiple media outlets reported that — just three months after they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary — Sylvester Stallone and Jennifer Flavin are throwing in the towel. The former model reportedly filed for divorce in Palm Beach County, Florida, on Aug. 19, noting in her legal paperwork that the marriage is "irretrievably broken." She also requested exclusive access to their home in Florida and accused the actor of engaging in "the intentional dissipation, depletion and/or waste of marital assets which has had an adverse economic impact on the marital estate." She's asking the court to block him from making further changes to their martial estate until after their assets have been equitably distributed between them — and after she's "compensated and made whole" for the assets Sly took amid the split. "I love my family. We are amicably and privately addressing these personal issues," he said in a statement after the split news broke. Just a few days earlier, DailyMail.com revealed that the Oscar nominee recently had a giant tattoo of Jennifer on his bicep covered up with a portrait of Butkus, the bull mastiff from the "Rocky" film franchise. After the news made headlines, his rep insisted that the actor-filmmaker simply "intended to refresh the tattoo image of his wife Jennifer" but "the results were unsatisfactory and, unfortunately, unfixable" so "he had to cover the original image." The rep added that "Mr. Stallone loves his family." But there'd been other recent signs that there was trouble in paradise: On Aug. 10, Jennifer raised eyebrows when she took to Instagram to share a photo of herself and the three daughters she shares with Sly along with the caption, "These girls are my priority. Nothing else matters. The four of us forever."

On Aug. 24, Us Weekly broke the news that Emma Slater and Sasha Farber recently went their separate ways following four years of marriage. "They've been apart for many months now. They both have not been wearing their wedding rings and are each leading a single life," said a source, adding that it was a "tough decision" for the "Dancing With the Stars" pros to call it quits and that they're still "figuring out" life apart. "It's been a difficult time [because] they really care about each other and have been together for so long," the source continued. The dancers will reportedly "continue to work together" in the wake of the breakup. "They're pros and won't let their personal life get in the way of [the show]," the insider said. Emma and Sasha tied the knot in 2018 following an off-and-on courtship of around seven years.
