Although the show has returned to Australia for the upcoming 2022 series, you could be fooled to think I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is still being filmed at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, thanks to the latest news.

With the show reportedly due to begin earlier than usual this year on Sunday 6th November, production staff have been forced to close the camp over in Australia due to severe weather in the area.

Following torrential rain which led to flooding in the area, bosses took the 'precautionary measure' to close the camp for 24 hours, with a spokesperson from ITV telling PA: “We closed site for 24 hours as a precautionary measure due to the inclement weather.”

Although ITV bosses are yet to confirm a start date for the new series, reports are rife I'm A Celeb will launch on Sunday 6th November, two weeks earlier than usual due to the World Cup in Qatar this Winter.

It also hasn't yet been announced which famous faces will take part in the upcoming series, but as usual, rumours are rife.

Check out the rumoured I'm A Celeb line-up below:

Danny Dyer

With news that actor Danny Dyer is leaving his iconic role as Queen Vic landlord Mick Carter on EastEnders, he's heavily rumoured for the 2022 series of I'm A Celeb.

Of course, his family are no strangers to reality TV, with Danny's daughter Dani winning Love Island back in 2018.

Jade Thirlwall

Following her appearance on Celebrity Bake Off in 2021, Little Mix singer Jade hinted she would 'try everything once' when questioned about I'm A Celeb last year.

Now that Little Mix are on a hiatus, will she give it a go in 2022?

Boy George

Reports are suggesting singer Boy George will be the highest ever paid contestant if he signs the contract for the 2022 series.

Richard Madeley

Although Richard Madeley took part in the 2021 series of I'm A Celeb, after the broadcaster was forced to quit following a sudden illness, many think he could be back for 2022.

In May, Richard teased he could return to the show, admitting he has "unfinished business".

Seann Walsh

After hitting the headlines for snogging his professional partner Katya Jones during his time on Strictly, I'm A Celeb bosses are hoping comedian Seann Walsh will reveal all during the 2022 series.

Oti Mabuse

With her switch to ITV in recent years, rumours are rife I'm A Celeb bosses are keen to sign former Strictly professional Oti Mabuse.

Now that Oti has left Strictly, the timing no longer clashes with I'm A Celeb, so will she sign on the dotted line?

Denise van Outen

The lovely Denise van Outen is no stranger to reality shows, having appeared on the likes of Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Gogglebox in recent years.

Denise has previously admitted she turned down the offer last year, revealing she will say yes when the show returns to Australia...

Matt Baker

Matt was a real favourite to enter the show last year, admitting to Hello! Magazine |nofollow|newtab): "I am reluctant to say no to anything without having a good think about it."

Of course, he didn't, so could we see him in Australia?

Sam Aston

Coronation Street legend Sam Aston hinted he'd love to take part in the show last year.

Speaking to OK! Magazine at the time, he said: "I've always said no to all of those shows, but then recently for some reason I've been more open to the idea. Jennie McAlpine and Andy Whyment did the jungle and both of them said it's the experience of a lifetime.

"If I was offered it I would be open to the idea and open to the extra pennies!"

Mike Tindall

Former rugby player Mike Tindall, who is married to Zara Phillips, could be the first member of the Royal family to appear on I'm A Celeb if reports are true.

Olivia Attwood

Former Love Island star Olivia Attwood is once again rumoured for the jungle this year.

She told the Radio Times in 2021: "I'd love to do the jungle. I'd give Dancing on Ice a go, although it does scare me.
"I'm a bit of a baby, so I don't like getting hurt. I feel like the minute I fall over once, I'd be done. I know it sounds dramatic, but I'm just a bit like that.

"For me, the jungle is less scary. So I'd love to do the jungle."

Tom Malone Jr

Ever since he made the decision to quit Gogglebox, Tom Malone Jr has been rumoured for a number of reality TV shows, including both I'm A Celeb and Strictly.

When asked by a fan about the possibility of I'm A Celeb, he said: "Yeah sure, I think. I actually think that would be sick, and probably would be very fun."

He hasn't been included in the 2022 Strictly line-up, so will he sign for I'm A Celeb?

The Vivienne

RuPaul's Drag Race UK winner The Vivienne recently admitted she would love to appear on I'm A Celeb during a chat with Lorraine last year.

She said: "Do you know what, I've never thought about it but what an absolutely amazing opportunity that would be."

Charlene White

Loose Women star and broadcaster Charlene White has also reportedly signed up for the 2022 series.

Owen Warner

Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner, who plays the role of Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap, will reportedly swap the Hollyoaks village for the Australian jungle this November.

As avid I'm A Celeb fans will know, this isn't the first time weather has thrown the show into chaos.

Just last year, whilst at Gwrych Castle in North Wales, the show was taken off air for a number of days thanks to Storm Arwen, which saw the 2021 celebs taken out of camp for safety reasons.

Hosts Ant and Dec recorded a video update for fans at the time, from their cottage in Wales.

They said: "Hello and welcome to we’re celebrities and get us in there!"

Dec went on: “I’ve got an update.

"The site was quite badly damaged during the storm and they are in there, working round the clock to try and get it back up and running and up to speed so we can get back on air as quickly as humanly possible.

“But, we don’t know when that’s going to be, just yet.”

So, with the brand new series set to return next week, let's hope the weather in Australia brightens up!

I'm A Celeb is rumoured to begin at 9pm on Sunday 6th November.
