The source explains that Robert only signed on for one season adding, "The Irwins are very smart when it comes to negotiations, all led by his mum Terri."

Before working on I'm A Celebrity, Robert enjoyed filling in for weatherman Sam Mac on Sunrise when he was on leave. According to the insider, Seven spent a lot of time training Robert for his live TV presenting work, and the network wants him back.

Robert also reportedly feels loyal to Seven, and he "never burned his bridges" there.

The insider also suggests the network might be working on a wildlife TV project just for Robert.
