It turns out not everyone knows who the Kelce brothers are! The renowned NFL stars Jason and Travis, were surprisingly unrecognized outside of the football realm on the May 6 episode of Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.

Despite their significant popularity within NFL circles and recent attention due to Travis's relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift, the trio of contestants struggled to identify their names. Designers Christian Siriano and actresses Sarah Levy and Krysten Ritter faced a puzzle under the category "Family," with "Travis and Jason Kelce" as the solution. Although the majority of the puzzle was revealed, none of the contestants could identify "Kelce" immediately.

Ritter, who had "Travis and Jason" nearly solved, had to keep spinning the wheel and guessing each remaining letter individually to fill out "Kelce." Even once the word was complete, Ritter mispronounced their last name when solving the puzzle, admitting afterward, "I don't know who they are."

Siriano was equally perplexed. With "Travis and Jason" clearly on display, he wondered aloud, "What is this word?" before Ritter completed the answer. Levy knew the Kelce brothers were football players but admitted, "It's a Taylor Swift thing. Sadly, it's the only reason I know who [they are]." Siriano responded with a hilarious quip of his own: "I make clothes for a living."

Despite the humorous confusion, Ritter won the round, and host Pat Sajak accepted her pronunciation. It's safe to say fans are eagerly awaiting to see if the Kelce brothers will address this moment on their New Heights podcast.

The Chiefs recently gave their fans another clear reason to start remembering Travis's name, as they handed him a well-deserved raise, making him the highest-paid tight end in NFL history. The deal, worth $34.25 million with $17 million fully guaranteed this season, was confirmed by ESPN's Adam Schefter. In their announcement via X, the Chiefs celebrated the extension, declaring, "We signed the greatest tight end ever to a new contract."

Correction 5/07/24, 4:00 p.m. ET: This article was updated to reflect the terms of Kelce's new Chiefs contract.
