As we wait for the most-coveted award show, we also look forward to the iconic carpet looks by our own Indian-origin stars who never cease to amaze us with their fashionable choices. While the list of Indians on the carpet is small, these stars have made sure that there is representation of the Indian diaspora and inclusivity at the most pivotal night for the global film industry.

As such, Priyanka Chopra attended the 88th Academy Awards in a romantic Zuhair Murad gown. The sheer number with intricate flower embroidery was absolutely gorgeous. The actor paired the gown with diamond jewellery, which elevated her entire look. For makeup, she went for a nude lip, a rosy blush and subtle mascara, and styled her hair in a tight ponytail.

Deepika Padukone made heads turn at the Vanity Fair Oscars Party in 2017 in her bold two-tone Monique Lhuillier dress. Her floor-length gown came with a sequin gold skirt and a black corset-styled bodice. To amp the look, she went for a nude lip gloss and metallic eye shadow. As for hair, she styled them in loose curls, giving a voluminous look.

Also spotted was Frieda Pinto at the Oscars After Party in 2020, wearing a velvety ebony-shade gown with puffed sleeves, a thigh-high slit and a long train. Mindy Kaling also graced the Oscars after party in 2022 in a stunning two-toned gown with a silver bodice and yellow skirt. The thigh-high slit and cape from one shoulder took her look a level up. Additionally, she went for minimal accessories, including a golden ring and earrings. Teaming the look with silver platform heels, Mindy looked ravishing in the vibrant ensemble.

Lilly Singh hit the red carpet at the 2020 Oscars wearing a head-to-toe white look designed by Adeam. Her look featured a custom white Japanese crepe suit, a belted skirt and a water drop tulle top. She accessorised the look with multiple rings, a choker set and earrings.

Last but not the least, Priyanka Bose dazzled in a Vivienne Westwood recycled couture dress at the Oscars in 2017. The abstract-printed strapless dress with a huge slit made Priyanka look stylish as ever. Her colourful ensemble was surely swoon worthy.
