While red carpet events and parties have definitely dipped due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, August did start off with “Home Economics” star Sasheer Zamata celebrating the release party for her upcoming standup special, “The First Woman.” At the same time, Rosario Dawson was helping clean up beaches in Huntington Beach, Calif. and Jamie Lee Curtis, Sheryl Lee Ralph and Chuck Lorre were at the groundbreaking for Project Angel Food’s new Chuck Lorre Family Foundation Campus in Los Angeles. Plus, Harvey Guillén attended the opening night of “Les Misérables” at the Pantages in Hollywood.
