It's a big day for India as Lord Ram's 'praan prathistha' is set to take place today in Ayodhya in the presence of PM Narendra Modi. Many celebs have also jet off for this auspicious occasion as they were seen at the airport, in the wee hours of the morning. Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Jackie Shroff, Katrina Kaif, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Rohit Shetty among others were seen at the airport as they jet off to Ayodhya.But what was heartwarming for fans was to see their favourite stars at their ethnic best.
Ranbir was seen wearing a white dhoti for the first time in a public appearance as he paired it up with a white kurta and carried a shawl. Ranbir was seen wearing a dhoti in the action sequence in 'Animal;, but this is the first time he wore it for an auspicious occasion in real life it seems and fans absolutely loved this avatar of his. Meanwhile, Alia was seen in a traditional green saree, in jhumkas and hair tied into a bun.
They were seen posing with Rohit Shetty who was also seen in a kurta pyjama.
Katrina won hearts as she wore a golden tissue saree. Meanwhile, Vicky complimented her gold look with a beige kurta pyjama with a dupatta.
Madhuri Dixit was seen in an orange saree while Jackie Shroff wore an orange scarf with a white kurta pyjama. Ayushmann Khurrana was seen in a kurta pyjama along with a jacket.
Indeed, celebs have donned their ethnic best avatars for this big day and it's a treat for their fans. Meanwhile, many other celebs like Kangana Ranaut have already reached Ayodhya ahead of the ceremony. Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi were also spotted at the airport as they jet off for the consecration ceremony.
