Well he didn’t even want a birthday party anyway!
Last week we reported that a PAC supporting Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s White House run had announced that a slate of celebrities were expected at a glitzy birthday party for the candidate — only for the alleged guests to fall over themselves to publicly announce that they never had any intention of attending the bash in the first place.
Now we hear that the birthday boy himself won’t be attending either. So there!
Fighting 4 One America had initially promised a performance from “superstar tenor Andrea Bocelli” along with star-studded “well-wisher guests” Mike Tyson, Dionne Warwick and Martin Sheen at the Jan 22. bash at Indian Wells, Calif.
But every single one of them denied any involvement in the birthday-party-cum-fundraiser. Warwick, for example, told us, “No, I’m not attending. No, I’m not backing him. No, no, and no!”
And to avoid any confusion that might have been left, her rep added in bold via email: “Ms. Warwick has NO association or affiliation whatsoever with Senator Robert F. Kennedy Jr.” They added, “She will not nor will [she ever] attend any events or fundraisers in connection with [RFK Jr.].”
Sheen even went as far as to endorse President Joe Biden on Instagram after he was claimed as a guest, and heavyweight champ Tyson, seemed a little confused about the whole thing.
“Mr. Tyson was invited to RFK’s bday celebration, which he cannot attend, not a fundraiser,” his rep said at the time.
On Friday a rep for the Kennedy campaign told us that the PAC was responsible for the bash and that the campaign had “no knowledge of who is attending and can’t confirm or deny anyone’s participation, either as entertainment or as a guest.”
Meanwhile, on Monday the campaign told us: “Mr. Kennedy will not be attending the PAC event in Indian Wells on Jan 22.”
A rep for the PAC’s founders previously told us, “Performers and other celebrity guests will be announced in one of your sister publications early next week.”
When we asked on Monday if the event will be canceled, the PAC didn’t comment.
