Angus Cloud’s tragic death has sent shockwaves across Hollywood and beyond.
Lukas Gage was the first of the late actor’s “Euphoria” co-stars to publicly mourn his passing.
“Rip @anguscloud ๐,” Gage, 28, wrote atop a group photo he shared to his Instagram Story Monday.
Javon “Wanna” Walton, 17 — who was particularly “close” to Cloud — followed with a snap of the brotherly duo, which he captioned, “forever family ❤️.”
“Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” star Lance Gross commented, “Damn. Man,” as Mexican singer Victoria La Mala added, “Omgggg noooo.”
Celebrity photographer Steven Gomillion remarked, “What!? ๐ฎ this is so shocking to me!” while “America’s Got Talent” alum Kid the Wiz lamented, “Rip smh ๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ.”
Cloud’s family announced his death on Monday. He was 25.
“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways,” his loved ones told TMZ in a statement, adding that Cloud died shortly after his dad passed away.
“Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss,” the family explained. “The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend.”
They noted that Cloud had been “open about his battle with mental health,” and they hope his passing will “be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”
The TV personality’s loved ones want the world to remember him “for his humor, laughter and love for everyone.”
“We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss,” they concluded.
A cause of death has not yet been revealed; however, Cloud — famous for his breakout role as kindhearted drug dealer Fezco “Fez” in HBO’s ongoing teen drama — reportedly suffered a “possible overdose.”
According to TMZ, his mother called 9-1-1 early Monday afternoon, saying her son did not have a pulse. Per the outlet, Cloud was eventually pronounced dead on the scene.
A source close to the family added that the budding entertainer had been battling severe suicidal thoughts since getting back from Ireland, where his father was laid to rest.
Meanwhile, in April, Cloud’s former manager, Diomi Cordero, accused him of being addicted to prescription drugs and claimed he once had to administer naloxone and perform CPR as the actor allegedly overdosed.
Cordero also alleged that “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson pleaded with Cloud to “fight for his life.” Levinson did not immediately respond to our request for comment.
