The celebrations were in full swing following Rod Stewart's sell-out gigs at Edinburgh Castle last week, as the Maggie May rocker took to the stage on Thursday and Friday night to delight Scottish crowds in the capital.
And we got a glimpse of some of the backstage fun, as fellow Celtic-daft songwriter Johnny Mclaughlin, known as Johnny Mac, shared some of the snaps of the boozy after party on social media with the likes of Line of Duty star Martin Compston and former Celtic manager Gordon Strachan joining him.
Posting on Instagram, Johnny wrote: "Great to see some friendly faces backstage at the @sirrodstewart Castle shows..Always good craic with @mrmartincompston - Warning‼️…a few @wolfieswhisky were sampled in this," as he shared a laughing emoji.
The images showed a Johnny Mac pouting as Scots actor Martin Compston was seen kissing Johnny, who has recently become a member of Bay City Rollers, on the cheek.
Former Hoops manager Gordon Strachan was also spotted among the celebrations as he posed for a selfie alongside him and Bay City Rollers guitarist 'Woody' Stuart Wood.
There was plenty of Rod's new tipple to go around by the looks of things, as images showed his 'Wolfie's Whisky' bottles in a few of the snaps, with one bottle nestled into a speaker.
Other star-studded guests included Scots actor Cal MacAninch known for his role as DI John Keenan in police drama HolbyBlue, Martin's pal and TV host Phil MacHugh and country singer Kevin Mcguire.
Meanwhile, 78-year-old singer Rod decided to take in the beauty of the Scottish capital city whilst he was playing his much-loved anthems as Edinburgh Live reports he toured Leith alongside his sister and learned the history of the area.
Alongside sister Mary, the star took part in a tour that was made just for them by Invisible Cities. Their father, Robert Stewart, was born in Leith and died in 1990.
Rod and Mary checked out the Leith Links, went along to the Shore and finished up at the Docks as images show the megastar resting on a wall outside the Tesco and soft play centre, near the Spey Lounge pub where he chatted to locals.
