The celebs at F1 making time to be interviewed: Florence Pugh, Liam Payne and Sam Ryder among stars chatting to Sky Sports' Martin Brundle (while Hannah Waddingham delights C4 crew) amid backlash at Cara Delevingne 'snub'
- Manchester City's Pep Guardiola was interviewed as part of Martin's grid walk
Florence Pugh, Liam Payne and Sam Ryder are among the stars who enthusiastically chatted to Sky Sports' Martin Brundle at F1 amid backlash at Cara Delevingne's apparent 'snub'.
Twitter users today slammed Cara for snubbing British motorsports legend Martin Brundle at the British Grand Prix and compared her behaviour with singer Sam Ryder who greeted him with a warm hug - though Cara's supporters urged people to 'step back and realise there could be other factors at play'.
Other celebs interviewed by Martin included actress Florence Pugh, who spoke about the atmosphere on the grid being 'very tense' but said it's 'amazing' and 'great'. She revealed the reason she was at the event was to be with the charity Race Against Dementia in her role as ambassador.
Liam Payne also said a few words - saying he was excited to see Lewis Hamilton's race. The One Direction star brought his father with him to the event and joked his dad would like to 'have a go'.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was even interviewed as part of Martin's famous grid walk.

Florence Pugh was casually clad when she stepped out in London. While we can't fault the actress' outfit, her choice of jewellery piqued our interest.

Brad Pitt told Martin he was having the 'time of his life' and that 'the vibe is amazing' - though his interview appeared to have been set up rather than spontaneous.
He spoke about the respect he had for the drivers, saying they were amazing athletes.
'I'm going to be here until they kick me out, because I'm loving it,' he said.
Meanwhile actor Hannah Waddingham spoke to Channel 4 in an interview, revealing that she was excited to see Hamilton.
Martin, 64, a former racing driver turned Sky Sports broadcaster, was covering the live action from Silverstone when 30-year-old Cara Delevingne turned down his request for a chat.
Sam Ryder, meanwhile, called him a 'legend' and shared his thoughts on the action.
Pointing out the contrast between the two stars, Twitter user Craig Laws wrote: 'Sam Ryder there being everything a celeb on an F1 grid should be, rather than everything Cara Delevingne wasn't. #f1 #GrandPrix #SilverstoneGP.'
'Take a leaf out of Sam Ryder's book and be a bit more humble when you're on the Grid,' a second added. A third tweeted: 'In a world full of Cara Delevingnes be a Sam Ryder, what an awesome bloke #F1 #BritishGP #Silverstone.'
But others defended the model, with one writing: 'I walked past @Caradelevingne a few times & she seemed to be chatting & getting involved (also has a history with motorsport eg FE etc..) Worth taking a step back sometimes and realising there could be other factors at play rather than just cancelling everyone #F1 #BritishGP.'
Footage shows Martin approaching the supermodel with a Sky Sports F1 microphone before he was quickly told by an aide that 'she doesn't want to talk'.
Unperturbed, the racer-turned-broadcaster was clearly keen to get his chat anyway, saying: 'That's the deal now, everybody talks on the grid,' to which Cara responded: 'I can't hear anything, sorry,' as the Red Arrows roared overhead.
The supermodel, who was seen wearing a chic black trouser suit with a matching bra and a black baseball cap, gave a curt 'no', shaking her head, before repeating 'no' again.
Clearly frustrated, Martin told her: 'The deal is everybody has to speak on the grid...'
Unimpressed, he replied with more than a hint of sarcasm, telling viewers: 'Okay, well, I'm sure it would have been extremely interesting,' at which point the model offered a thumb's up to the camera.
Later in the day, Cara took to Twitter to offer a further response to the interaction.
She reposted a tweet which read: 'At this point, Martin Brundle is just doing it to manufacture the moment for the controversy of it all.
'You can clearly see the PR rep tell him 'no' and shake his head when he goes up towards Cara Delevingne.
'He had an out and he chose not to take it to make a statement.'
Cara added: 'I was told to say no so I did. Thank you for seeing both sides xxx.'
Many of those watching the clip as it originally aired on television were outraged by her response to Martin, although some said she had the right to say no to being interviewed on camera.
One wrote: 'This man deserves more respect by celebrities. Why show up to F1 if you don't want to be spoken to?'. Another added: 'Get these celebrities off the grid if they aren't going to talk to the voice of F1. Half of them don't even know which drivers race for the team which invited them.'
Cara has been enjoying the event season in the UK, and celebrated her first sober Glastonbury last month, declaring this year's festival 'by far my favourite.'
The model partied with her pals Anya Taylor-Joy and Stella McCartney, sister Poppy and girlfriend Minke at Worthy Farm, and posted a gushing message in tribute to her weekend on Instagram on Monday night.
Alongside clips of her favourite performances. Cara wrote that she has 'been going to Glastonbury since I was 15 but this year was my first sober one and it was by far my favorite.'
